Guineas For Bulls

A lot of money has been changing bands lately. At the annual sales of pedigree bulls, prices have been good for stud animals. For one like that pictured above (Mrs E. Matthews' Druid of Te Ruanui, which won first placing at the Aberdeen Angus ball fair at Matawhere), bidding ran up to 410gns. Top price at the fair was 420gns for Glenpark 170th, a bull bred by Carroll and Cooper.

Average for the five placed bulls at the sale was 381gns, compared with 245½gns at last year's sale.
