On the Waterfront

With nearly three months of indifferent winter weather behind them, Gisborne sea lovers are welcoming the return of warmer days.

These pictures show (above) the scene at the breakwater on a recent warm but humid Sunday morning, (below) a bulldozer at work repairing the Yacht Club's enclosure near their slip, which was churned up by an exceptionally high tide, and (below) the new Yacht Club pavilion fronting Kaiti Beach. Completed last summer, the new building will see its first complete season this summer, when it is expected that yachting will further increase in popularity.
