A wedding of interest to Wairoa was that of Sam, eldest son of Mr and Mrs S. Rangi, Wairoa, to Monica, daughter of Mr Naftel, Kawarau. Sam, a member of the Tokoroa Pirates football team, was accorded a guard of honour by team mates. Future home: Tokoroa.
