Gisborne Jinx On Actor?

Gisborne theatregoers are wondering whether they will ever see Redmond Phillips, of the N. Z. Players, on the stage of the local Opera House.

One of the stars of next week's show, "The Solid Gold Cadillac", Redmond Phillips has twice been billed to appear here — first in "Twelfth Night" and later in "Salad Days". But on both occasions illness prevented him from making his bow.

On this occasion, members of the cast — and Redmond himself — are keeping their fingers crossed. Redmond with Bridget Armstrong who was seen here in "Salad Days".

The play is an American comedy-satire which pokes fun at big business. Rosalind Atkinson has the leading role of a modern Cinderella.
