Dare Lee has just checked its weight and the price of that single potato is 2/9. Reduced plantings, followed by a bad season in the South Island, caused the price of potatoes to skyrocket. House-wives are waiting anxiously for the new crop to come on the market, early next month, so that "King Spud" will come off the luxury list.
