Club's "New Look"

Big changes have been taking place within the walls of the Gisbone Cosmopolitan Club, Peel Street.

Extensive renovations have doubled the bar space, increased the number of billiards tables from three to five, and given the rooms a smart "new look".

Membership of the club — now at 1600 — has doubled in the last 10 years and more space was badly needed.

The building was a warehouse before it was taken over by the, club about 20 years ago. The top storey has been extended at the back to form the new billiards room.

One of the most popular facilities of the club is the library, which contains 10,000 books.
