Feast Of Soccer

Gisborne soccer fans are having the time of their lives.

With Eastern Union's strong bid in the Chatham Cup contest, Poverty Bay's victory over Hawke's Bay, and the North-South match scheduled for next month, they're enjoying one of the most eventful seasons for years.

Eastern Union reached the North Island semi-final in Chatham Cup play before Auckland's Eastern Suburbs team eliminated them by only 2 goals to 1.

In the rep game, P. B. beat H.B., 5-4.
