Sparkling Success
Two very nice rings took first and second places in the Peter Hutchings Jewellers "Design A Ring" competition held recently. Entrants submitted their own designs and these were judged on style and practicability of manufacture. The first prize was a ring to the value of $200 made from the winning design. Likewise the second prize to the value of $150.
Jeweller Peter Hutchings looks on as judges Kristine Boyle and Auckland diamond merchant Ian Bond start in on the 100 entries.
With the rings executed to their design, and their Diplomas of Ring Design, are first prize winner Robyn White (left) and second place-getter Judy Harding. Robyn's ring is a gold mount with a rhodalite garnet and two diamonds, while Judy's is a gold mount with diamonds.
