The Thelma G is Launched

A brand new sixty-three ton fishing trawler is ready to make its mark on the Gisborne commercial fishing scene. The Thelma G was launched in Wanganui recently by Mrs Thelma Higham, one of the directors of Kaiti Fisheries for whom the boat was built. The $140,000 vessel was constructed by Steel Boats Wanganui Ltd, and took to the water at Castlecliff like the proverbial duck. The Thelma G comes equipped with every modern device including radar and electronic equipment.
