Shades Of New Orleans

The Poverty Bay Club building in Childers Road is a fine example of architecture in wood. The clean lines of the building are enhanced by the classic form of the upper storey balustrade while the delicate verandah carvings remind one of the elaborate wrought iron carvings used to the same purpose in New Orleans, U.S.A.
