Top Dog
John and Gillian Lister have a real top dog in their kennels at Patutahi This is Champion Lida Von Talstrom, a German Shepherd bitch, which was awarded the New Zealand Junior Dog of the Year title at the Fido Nationals held in Hamilton. She gained the most aggregate points in her age group (12 to 18 months) over the past dog show year. With her is the Lister's 13-year-old son Reece. Using Lida he took second place (out of 122 entries) in the Junior Showmanship event (for 10 to 14-year-old dog handlers), also at the Hamilton show. So both prize-winners have done very well indeed!
