A Good Save

The Gisborne Fire Brigade made a very good save when it brought a sudden fire in the parts department of H.S. Motors under control on July 22. A spillage of white spirits was ignited and the eventual heat from the resulting fire "blew out" skylights and windows and did an extensive amount of damage. The brigade contained the fire however and stopped the fire from spreading further.
