Venturesome First

Members of the Gisborne Choral Society and the Gisborne Civic Orchestra braved the heights of the Whareratas and journeyed to Wairoa to present "Dido And Aeneas" by Purcell. This was a notable first for the group as this was the first time it has performed out of the city. A very warm reception was given the group which staged the opera in the Assembly Hall of the Wairoa College.
