The Shear Pin Plough

Arranged by Jack Kingsbeer and demonstrated by Keith Clough the new Clough shear pin ploughs were put through their paces on the Barber property at Waerenga-a-hika recently. The new type of plough has a special pin through each beam and if an obstacle is struck during ploughing the replaceable pin shears off allowing the share to ride up out of harm's way and cause no damage to the plough, or strain on the tractor.
