Association For Para's

A large crowd filled Wrey Nolan House for the meeting held to form a Poverty Bay Branch of the Paraplegic and Physically Disabled Association. The association promotes activities for paraplegics, particularly in the social and sporting areas. Guest speaker at the meeting was sportsman Jim Savage who has won a total of 38 medals in different paraplegic games. This year, for the fourth time, he captained New Zealand's Paraplegic Games team in Japan.
