Ordination 50th Anniversary

The 50th anniversary of his ordination as a minister was celebrated by Archdeacon Morrison on June 7. A large crowd gathered at the Anglican Parish Hall in Derby Street to honour the archdeacon. Unfortunately Mrs Morris was indisposed and could not attend. After speeches by the Rev. Tony Sutton and the Bishop of Waiapu, the Rt Rev. Paul Reeves, Archdeacon Morris commemorated the day by planting a pohutukawa in the church grounds near the Lowndes' memorial window.
