From The Squash Courts

With its two new squash courts now fully operational, the extended building housing the Gisborne Squash Club, hand the Turanganui Tennis Club, still has a full-time job catering for the big increase in squash club membership. A competition for new members (a Tenderfoot Tournament) was held recently. This gave new members an opportunity to try competition play without coming up against much more experienced players. However, the big news is the club's effort in taking the Hutchinson Shield once again. The Hutchinson Shield is for inter-club competition in the Gisborne-Hawke's Bay district.
