The I.H.C. Tony Singer Memorial Pre-School Centre was officially opened on May 24. The building (formerly the Donnelly Training Centre) has been remodelled to become a special place suited to the needs of I.H.C. pre-schoolers.

At the opening are, from left, M.P. Trevor Davey, N.Z.I.H.C. committee member Norm Davies, the Mayor and Mayoress Mr and Mrs Harry Barker, Gisborne I.H.C. president Mrs Nora Steed, and Dr Dorothy Howie (national adviser of services, Wellington) who officially opened the centre.
