Delegates To Conference

Diplomas Awarded

For outstanding services to the Save The Children Fund four members of the Junior Branch of the fund were awarded Diplomas For Exceptional Services at the annual general meeting.

Parliamentary Opposition leaderRob Muldoon drew a crowd of 1500 to his recent political address at the Sandown Hotel. The crowd spilled over from the hotel lounges and had to listen to the address through speakers placed outside. Mr Muldoon is greeted on his arrival in Gisborne by Messrs Bill Bailey (president of the Gisborne branch of the National Party) and, at right, Bob Bell (Gisborne National Party candidate for the coming election).

Six delegates from the Tarawhiti Playcentre Association attended the 28th National Playcentre Conference held in Feilding recently. All six were on sub-committees at the conference and are shown before departure by railcar.
