Happy Day

The annual gathering arranged by the Victoria League for all residents over 65, and who have been in the Gisborne district for 40 years or more, was once again a most enjoyable success. Musical entertainment and a delicious afternoon tea were much appreciated and enjoyed by all those present in the Abercorn Hall on May 26.

With the president, Mrs H.H. Barker, are Mr Tom Kelly (74) and Miss Eileen Davis (90), the gentleman and lady present who have lived longest in the district (all their lives in fact).

The oldest lady and gentleman present were Mrs Florence Wells (93) and Mr Jock Winning (87).
