Senior Birthdays
Once again a jolly enjoyable birthday concert was held by members of the Senior Citizens Association at their hall in Bright Street on May 1. A bright programme was highlighted with a bracket of numbers played by the M.M Trad Band (M.M.for Makaraka-Matawhero C.W.I.).
April and May birthday celebrants at the cutting of the cake are, from left, in front, Mrs N. Cram, Mrs H. Phin, Mr J. Watts, Mrs H. McMullen and Mrs H. Shepherd. At back, Mesdames F. A. Nicholas, I. Bothamley, A. Hansen, B. Moore, M. Johnson and B. Worsfold.
