Artistry in Flowers
The Floral Art Society held a very successful workshop day and demonstration evening when they engaged Mrs Mary Evetts of Whakatane to run one each of these courses in Gisborne recently. Mrs Evetts is well known in the floral world as an arrangement demonstrator, and particularly for her gift for bold arrangements as well as her eye for colour combinations.
Mrs Evetts explaining defects, and praising the good points, in two of the workshop arrangements. The workshop attracted the full quota of vacancies.
One of the superb arrangements devised by Mrs Evetts at the evening demonstration. It contains gold chrysanthemums, and kniphofias boldy augmented with shaped palm leaves.
