The team of six Gisborne trolley drivers and their vehicles put Rotorua to rout during the ninth annual Scout Trolley Derby held in the “Sulphur City” during the school holidays The Gisborne team of six took all four cups and came second in the shield race. And just to finish things off, they took first, third and fourth places in the final champion of champions race. In winning this event Andrew Barnes set a record of 29.5 seconds.
