A raid by the Rotorua Orphans on their Gisborne counterparts took place on August 10, The visitors arrived in mid-afternoon and were given quite a reception by the local hosts. Copper Bruce Norman and clown Bert Moles give Rotorua Orphans' president Bill Taylor the treatment after “arresting” him on his arrival.

Chris Piesse, Kevin Tohill, Gary Chalmers, Kathy Christie and Andrea Nicoll are Just laughing away the cold before taking their early morning sponsored swim. They are the organising committee members of the recent Youth Conference and were raising the money to run the conference. Kathy Christie must be really hardy as she raised $25 for staying in the sea for 20 minutes!
