Best Of Three

The third and final series in the Gisborne Motor Cycle Sports Club's beach races for the Beach Race Shield (made and presented to the club by Paul Jacobs) was held on August 31. A close tussle for the aggregate points over the three beach meetings saw Max Barrington emerge the winner. He gained his win through some extra good efforts on a 250 Suzuki and a Norton 750.
