Poor Oliver Twist had some tough moments during his early days but none so forbidding as that of facing the wrath of Mr Bumble (the beadle) when asking for more gruel. This scene is just one of the highlights from the combined Boys and Girls High Schools' production of “Oliver.” This musical (based on the famous story by Charles Dickens) is by Lionel Bart, and more shots from this excellent production can be seen on pages 6 and 7.
