Gaining in Value

An exhibition which must have gained in. value during its display was probably this one in the foyer of the Commercial Bank of Australia. The paintings are those of Gisborne artist Bernice McAra and with the whiff of cash floating about they must be worth a bit more after the two-week exhibition. Actually the works are very reasonably priced. There are both land and seascapes and all are of a very high order.

Also of interest among Mrs McAra's work is this delightful scene at Hot Water Beach on the Coromandel Peninsula.

Another scene of local interest is "Incoming Tide" a painting of Makorori Beach.
