Sold With a Wink & a Blink

The very good price fetched at the auction of Driftwood Station, the estate near. Ruatoria of the late M. F. O'Sullivan, reflected confidence in the future of farming on the East Coast.

This most desirable property drew a large number of prospective buyers to the auction and you had to be pretty quick to catch a wink, or even a blink, as the bidding progressed

The successful bidder was Mr Bruce Charteris of Mamaku (centre). With him are Public Trustee Ron Sparrow (left), and Dalgety Real Estate representative Gill James.
