Fence Me In
A new sight in the skies over recent weeks has been this brightly coloured Bell "Jetranger" helicopter being flown by Russ McCulloch of Helicopters (N.Z.) Ltd. Looking for all the world like a gigantic tadpole the craft has a payload of 550kg (12001b), which is a pretty heavy load. The helicopter is being used extensively for carrying fencing posts and materials into a variety of locations, as well as doing spraying jobs,.etc.
A Bit Bent

The petrol pump stand at Brian Griffiths Motors got a bit bent recently when a car went out of control and smashed into the end of it. The verandah stand was broken, thus allowing the forecourt roof to come down. The left end pump was also severely damaged. Fortunately that is as far as the damage went. If it had been any worse a fire would have been a strong possibility.
