Some of the brochures on Gisborne and the East Coast printed for the Public Relations Office in both English and Japanese, and aimed at the potential Japanese tourists of the future, came in handy sooner than thought with the tour of the All Japan Rugby team. On arrival in Gisborne the team members were presented with a folder containing the brochure, among other things. Undoubtedly the travellers found this an easy way to understand the salient points of this area. With Public Relations Officer Harry Bennett are All Japan wingers Masao Yoshida (centre) and Masaru Fujiwara, the youngest member of the team. Gisborne was unfortunate to miss Fujiwara's speed.
