What Wicked Women?
The world of "Wicked Women" was brought to mind recently at the Boys High School Assembly Hall. It was here that the Crippled Children Society staged a very successful Doll Show. And among the dolls from the 1870s was this one which evokes the atmosphere created by the recent television series, especially as it was on a revolving disc. About 300 of the 400 dolls on show were brought to Gisborne by members of the Wairarapa Doll Club. The show attracted large crowds over its five-day showing during the holidays.
