Hang it All!

A very large and interested crowd filled the Midway Surf Club pavilion to capacity for the wallpapering demonstration organised by the Gisborne Plunket Society and Ashley Wall Papers. Sherry and supper were served, combining business with pleasure, so to speak.

From left, Ashley Wall Paper representatives Ken MacPherson (area representative) and Peter Vickers (sales manager, Wellington), with Plunket vice-president Mrs Joyce Thorpe and president Mrs Margaret Francis. They are holding the roll of new vinyl wallpaper which was used in the demonstration.

Mr Vickers trims the top edge of the pre-pasted paper to give a smooth fitting line.

×

A star shaped hole is cut to give easy fitting to an existing light switch.

Mr MacPherson shows the "scrubbability" of the paper.
