Once again Gisborne citizens responded generously to the appeal for lemons by N.A.C., Radio Gisborne and J. Wattie Canneries. Each year thousands of pounds of the fruit are flown down to Invercargill for distribution among the old folks' homes, hospitals and needy citizens. This year 4500lbs of lemons were airfreighted south. Pictured with part of the consignment are, from left, Mayor Harry Barker, N.A.C. manager Colin Bell and Radio Gisborne manager Ian Vernazoni.

Pictured on a country road, at Wharekaka in fact, are these nurses from Hamilton who were on holiday with Mr and Mrs Ted Wilson recently. From left, they are Bev Wilson, Vicki Martin, Yvonne Downes, Kathy Dick, Chris Massey and Gloria Bonnington. Acting as guide is Evan Wright.
P.S. They breed tough horses up the coast.
P.P.S. Wharekaka is about four miles north of Tolaga Bay.

In last month's issue, on Page 49, we incorrectly stated that this picture was of Rongo Tuhura. In actual fact it is of Percy Reedy issuing the challenge at the L.D.S. welcome to the Mission president.
