Those were the Days

... fifty years ago when the first District High School opened at Te Karaka. Many memories and "tales of our youth" were brought back as more than 600 ex-students of the High School, now Waikohu College, crowded the buildings for its golden jubilee. The 50th anniversary celebrations included a Friday afternoon get together; roll call, lunch and photographs; a ball on the Saturday; and a church service on the Sunday.
