Big Parade

A big parade of both ex-Servicemen and the public turned out for this year's Anzac Day Service held, as usual, at the Cenotaph on the Kaiti Esplanade. Fine weather blessed the occasion and the ceremony started at 9.30 a.m.

The City of Gisborne Highland Pipe Band's stirring music brought back memories of days in the trenches for World War I veterans.
