Fire? What Fire?
No fire, really — but a hot time was had in the old town that night, as the Manutuke Volunteer Fire Brigade staged a bang-on ball. Novelty prizes, novelty dances and a delicious hangi supper were highlights of the evening.
A presentation was made to Mr P. N. Mihaka by Gisborne Chief Fire Officer Mr Kerry Everson, in recognition of 15 years of volunteer service. (Golden City Pix).
