The Flying Debaters
Three members of the Taupo Toastmasters' Club flew through to Gisborne recently, to take part in a debate with their opposites in the Gisborne Toastmasters' Club. The subject for debate was "That a Country's Culture is More Important than its Commerce,' with Gisborne taking the affirmative. The visitors won this part of the Central North Island Championship.
