Unusual Hobby

Mr Norman Bartlett, 22 Owen Road, has a very difficult kind of hobby. He makes tin hangings. Using discarded cans, he makes all sorts of hangings which can be used as ornaments, ash trays and mirror or picture holders.

After cutting a can off at the required height, equal vertical cuts are made.

The standing pieces are then rolled back to leave every other one standing.

The standing ones are then cut into thin strips which are rolled back into different lengths to give the star effect.
