The Marvellous Toys
All kinds of marvellous toys came to light when Radio 2ZG held a Marvellous Toy competition, during the school holidays. From the futuristic to the old fashioned, from the mechanical to the cuddly, hundreds of proud possessions were entered in the contest.
The soft toy section was won by Christine Hormann, with this mouse.
Overall winners were the joint owners of this pedal horse "Makeway." They won $5. From left, owners Sally and Michael Single, trainer Peter Single, owners Grant and Philip Rosie and driver Tina Rosie. The Singles' training establishment is at 144 Stout Street, while the Rosie property is at 136A Stout Street.
Dean Turner won the mechanical section with this fork-lift.
The doll section was taken by Fiona Grimson.
Nigel and Simon Ramsey among some of the hundreds of toys entered in the competition.
