Marina Project Well Under Way
Work on the Gisborne Marina Development Society's project has been progressing steadily.
During the past few months, large scale earthmoving, filling and pile driving has been done.
As part of its financial scheme of raising $45,000, the society, a non-profit organisation, has issued $25 debentures for public subscription and already, $2500 has been raised by this method. The first of these debentures was sold to Mr Seton Clare (right), chairman of the Parks and Reserves committee, by the treasurer of the society, Mr Des Sutcliffe (left), and chairman Mr Mick Sheridan.
A plan of the finished marina. Quite a change from mudflats!
