Wine And Cheese-With Oil

Oil paintings that is! More than 200 people attended a wine and cheese evening and an exhibition of oil paintings by artist Carol Hacche at the Rick-stan Home Improvement Centre. The money raised from the function was donated to the Gisborne Branch of the Plunket Society. The paintings, most of which were scenes of the Gisborne district, attracted much favourable comment. The price tags are most reasonable too, considering the artist's technique and flair for colour use.
