P.B.'S New All Black

During his senior career, 24-year-old Parkinson's highlights have been playing three games for the N.Z. Maoris, in 1970; playing in the N.Z. trials, last season; and as one of the stars in the 1971 North team at the inter-Island match in New Plymouth.

Having just played in his second Test, he now looks a certainty to further his All Black career by being selected for the tour to Britain, later this year.

In only his fifth season of senior rugby, P.B. second five-eighth Mike Parkinson topped off a meteoric rise, in the rugby world, by reaching the ultimate goal of every player in New Zealand, that of playing for the All Blacks.

Swerving with a tremendous burst of speed, Parkinson leaves two Californian players groping into space during the game against the Grizzlies, in Gisborne.
