Fifty years of marriage were celebrated by Ernest and Esther Barber, a few weeks back. Mr and Mrs Barber, of 255 Lytton Road, were married at Warwick, Queensland, where Mrs Barber was born. The Barbers have lived all their married lives in this area, first farming at Patutahi, then moving into Gisborne, 25 years ago. They, are pictured with their daughters Noeline (Mrs McAllister, Auckland), and Margerie (Mrs Stewart, Gordon Street).
