Cross Over The Bridge

A tangible gift from the family of the late J. S. Allan was received by the Central School, recently. A photo of each decade, taken at the school's recent Centennial celebrations, was presented, to be kept for posterity. Seven members of the Allan family attended the Central School during their school days.

Members of the Waiteata Scout Group spent a recent Sunday erecting a drawbridge as part of their Pioneering test. This included construction technique, use of materials, and lashing. The finished bridge was solid and workable. During the raising and lowering of the bridge, Peter Thompson and Paul Escott proved its weightcarrying properties.
