The Long, Long Load

Direct Transport had a long load on their hands when they took this wood-chip elevator through to Mount Maunga-nui, recently. Made by Monk Bros, the 150-foot elevator was manoeuvred out of the premises at the crack of dawn for the long and twisting haul to the Bay of Plenty. A special truck supported the front of the elevator while one of Monk's load supporter vehicles was driven separately, near the rear end of the load.
