After an intensive two-week course of six lectures and oral and practical exams, over 60 people gained their St John First Aid Certificates. Nineteen senior pupils from St Mary's College gained certificates after completing a defensive driving course, conducted by Traffic Officer I. Banks, at the college. The college principal, Sister Rosa, also took the course and gained herself a certificate.
