Project Completed

A whole new recreation area, part of it containing adventure-type play equipment, has been established by members of Gisborne Rotary at Camp Williams, Waipiro Bay. Members really worked to get the area established over a recent weekend.

The rapid time of 24 min 11.8 secs was put up by Patricia Braybrook, to win this year's Stoneham Cup, organised by the Gisborne Swimming Club. The race, which drew eight entries, is swum over a course from the Roebuck Road bridge, down the Taruheru River to the junction with the Waimata River.
