Miss Judy Barbour, daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Barbour, Manuka Street, is our cover girl this month. Judy, who enjoys cooking and takes an interest in race horses, was the winner of the Savings Committee-Gisborne Herald Savings Week Queen competition held recently. See page 49.

Back Cover — This new picture of the Poho-o-Rawiri Meetinghouse shows the big building to advantage in its setting of trees, below Kaiti Hill. It is the biggest meeting-house in the country and had the honour of being visited by the Queen during her visit to Gisborne last year.
