Gisborne Lions Honoured

World President's Visit

Gisborne was one of the three New Zealand towns visited by the World president of Lions, Mr Robert J. Uplinger, and Mrs Uplinger recently, in the course of a world tour. They arrived on Sunday, October 4, and departed the following day. Highlight of the visit was an evening dinner and official welcome provided by the combined Gisborne and Turanga Lions' clubs at the D. B. Gisborne Hotel. It was here that all Lions present had the opportunity to meet and have a few words with their world president.
