Council Sworn In
The new city council was sworn in at a special ceremony held in the City Council Chambers at noon on Wednesday, October 20. Members took, and signed, the council oath from Mr Harry Barker after he had been inducted as mayor.
The town clerk, Mr W. Hudson, helps Mr Barker into his robes after he had been inducted as mayor.
Signing the oath is new council member Mr B. Crawshaw.
The other new member on the council, Mr T. Davey, also signs the oath.
